Mr. Shea provided news and updates on many items including word that many parents had provided negative opinions on the Director’s Cut program (which has been a part of the media component for the Grade 1 through 8 curriculum in recent years). Those in attendance echoed that dissatisfaction with the program, as is. CSAC will post an opinion poll on their site and seek input from the parent/guardian community on this subject for discussion at the next (April 22nd, meeting).
Mr. Shea reviewed in detail the school's 2011/2012 school year budget funded
by the TCDSB. In summary, to date (February 23, 2012), 73% of the school’s budget (of $6,000), has
been allocated.
Mr. Shea presented
the primary grades capital items wish list. John confirmed that he would include
these items in the tax-deductible Capital Fund donation request letter, to be circulated
in March.
